The Mogalakwena Mine in Limpopo, South Africa, is one of Anglo American's globally significant platinum projects. Redpath, in partnership with Redpath Mining South Africa, undertakes decline development and site setup to support mine expansion.
Redpath's work at Mogalakwena commenced with portal construction within the existing open pit and includes developing a 3,000m long, 6m x 5.5m exploration decline, along with site facilities and electrical infrastructure. The decline development required precise blasting and ground support and included the development of diamond drill cuddies. A partnership between Redpath and Redpath Mining South Africa provides contract services for the Mogalakwena project.
