I began my journey in mining by completing my Civil and Mining Engineering Technologists program at College Boreal. I got my start with Redpath in 2016 as a nipper. Over the years, I’ve been able to work many positions such as; haul truck driver, service miner, blaster, surface operator, project clerk, construction miner, shaft technician and now currently as a shaft miner.

What do you like best about working at Redpath?

I enjoy working for Redpath because the morale within the crews pushes me to be the best team player I can be. Management is there for us, and the door is always open for support. I feel encouraged to wake up and show up to work with a smile on my face. The complex projects I’ve been on have been the perfect learning opportunities. I like that because it teaches me new skills and ways to tackle problems, not only at work, but in everyday life as well. I greatly appreciate the safety culture skills and knowledge that I have
adopted thanks to my career with Redpath. Safety first, last, and always.
